IV THERAPY EDUCATION

Our IV therapy services are available to both established medical patients and individuals seeking occasional wellness, immune support, or those who have been provided a specific IV protocol from another practitioner.

We do offer a services membership for $30 per month, which provides discounted member pricing on all services, including IV nutrient therapy, as well as 10% off all supplements and products we carry in-office. This membership is non-contractual and not required to receive IV therapy with us, but is recommended if you plan to receive ongoing treatment.

What Is IV Nutrient Therapy?

IV nutrient therapy delivers vitamins, minerals, and hydration directly into the bloodstream, allowing for full absorption and faster availability compared to oral supplements. This approach may be especially helpful for individuals with nutrient deficiencies, digestive or absorption challenges, increased physical or mental demands, or difficulty tolerating oral intake.

IV hydration supports circulation, cellular function, and electrolyte balance and may be beneficial for overall wellness, fatigue, recovery, headaches, and general dehydration.

All IV therapies at Roots Integrative Medicine are administered by highly skilled clinical staff and are overseen by our nurse practitioners to ensure safety and quality care.

What to Expect at Your  Appointment

Prior to your appointment, you’ll be asked to complete medical history and consent forms in your Charm patient portal, which will be reviewed by one of our nurses during a brief consultation at your visit.

Patients must be 18 years of age or older to receive IV therapy if they are not an established medical patient. If you are under 18 and have special circumstances with parental permission, please speak with our staff. While accommodations are not guaranteed, we are happy to review each situation individually.

Our staff can provide guidance on recommended frequency of IV therapy, appropriate options for your needs, and any supplementation or complementary therapies that may support your wellness goals.

We ask that you arrive well-nourished and hydrated to help make your IV experience as comfortable as possible. Please feel free to let your nurse know if you have a history of passing out, needle sensitivity, or need any accommodations. Your comfort and safety are important to us.

Comfort & Amenities

You’ll receive your IV in one of our comfortable recliners, with the option of a heated massage mat and blanket. During your session, you may also choose to add on other services such as infrared red light therapy or PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic field) therapy.

We offer Wi-Fi and reading materials for your enjoyment during your visit.

Appointments are scheduled for 60 minutes to allow time for consultation and relaxation. Most IV infusions take 25 to 45 minutes, however it may take longer depending on your individual circumstances, receiving a larger bag of fluids or combining IV therapies.

Our Commitment to Quality & Sensitivity

Every detail of our IV therapy is thoughtfully considered, even for our most sensitive patients. Our IV bags are sourced from Spain and meet the highest standards — they are PVC-free, DEHP-free, and latex-free, helping to minimize unnecessary exposure to plastics.

Our IV nutrients are allergen- and preservative-free, sourced from reputable 503B compounding pharmacies, and contain bioavailable, methylated forms of vitamins for optimal absorption.​

IV Ozone Therapy

Roots Integrative Medicine is proud to be one of the few clinics in South Carolina to offer IV ozone therapy.

IV ozone therapy is an advanced medical treatment that introduces a precise mixture of ozone and oxygen into the bloodstream under strict medical protocols. Ozone has been studied for its ability to support immune modulation, improve cellular oxygen utilization, and promote the body’s natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory responses.

This therapy is often used as an adjunctive treatment for chronic inflammation, immune support, circulatory concerns, fatigue, recovery, and overall wellness optimization.

IV ozone therapy requires specialized equipment, advanced protocols, and specific medical training. Our providers have completed specialized ozone training and follow established safety standards to ensure appropriate dosing, monitoring, and clinical oversight.

Scheduling

As outlined in our Consent to Treat and Practice Policies, we kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Our staff prepares for each treatment with care and intention, and giving notice helps us ensure that we can offer available times to all our patients.

Please note that missed IV appointments without notice will incur a $50 no-show fee.
