EKG (electrocardiogram)

Service Description

EKGs are one of the services that can be provided at Roots Integrative Medicine. An EKG is a medical test that records the electrical activity of the heart over a period of time, and can be helpful in diagnosing any abnormal or concerning heart rhythms. EKGs may be offered during routine adult or pediatric physical exams, if a patient is symptomatic (chest pain, heart palpitations, racing heart, etc), prior to the Provider prescribing certain medications, and/or if the Provider hears an abnormal rhythm/heart sound on exam. If an abnormal result is observed, the Provider will refer to an appropriate cardiac specialist.
